Lawrence Taylor is a Managing Director and General Counsel at ACORE Capital. He oversees the legal affairs of the company as well as supervising the legal aspects of originating, structuring and negotiation of loan originations.

Prior to joining ACORE, Mr. Taylor was Assistant General Counsel at Starwood Property Trust, Inc., (NYSE:STWD), a public mortgage REIT, from 2014 to 2015, responsible for structuring and negotiating loan originations. Prior to STWD, Mr. Taylor practiced law in New York at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP and Shearman & Sterling LLP.

Mr. Taylor is a graduate from the University of Ottawa School of Management and the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
