Lilia Brent is a Director in the Credit Department of ACORE Capital and assists the Managing Partner / Head of Credit with all aspects of credit risk assessment and management from origination through asset management. Lilia has over 25 years’ experience in commercial real estate credit and finance and has worked on hundreds of loans exceeding $15 billion in aggregate.
Prior to joining ACORE, Lilia was a Vice President at Starwood Property Trust, a public mortgage REIT where she was a credit officer and senior loan underwriter. In that capacity she assisted the Chief Credit Officer with the establishment of underwriting policies and procedures, trained and mentored Associates and Analysts, and managed the credit and loan structuring for a wide array of transactions..
Before STWD, Lilia was a Senior Vice President at Coastal Capital Partners, a firm that specialized in CRE distressed debt acquisitions and advisory. Prior to joining Coastal, Lilia was a Senior Vice President of Countrywide’s Commercial Real Estate Finance Group where she served on the Credit Committee and supported the Chief Credit Officer with all facets of credit risk and underwriting. Other prior positions consist of a Senior Account Executive at Fannie Mae’s multifamily division where Lilia was a national account manager for two key lending relationships, responsible for the evaluation and approval of credit risk and pricing of DUS loans; a senior underwriter position at JP Morgan; Director in the structured finance group of CIBC World Markets; and an SVP position at ITLA Capital, where she worked on establishing and managing the credit department for a new CMBS business line.
