Mr. Wang has more than 15 years’ experience in the commercial real estate industry in investment banking, principal investments, capital markets and credit, with $30+ billion transaction experience in both the United States and Asia. Prior to ACORE Capital, he was a senior member of the Bank of China’s US Commercial Real Estate Finance team, operating out of New York. During his tenure, Mr. Wang helped build the Bank of China US CRE operation into one of the most active lenders in the United States – with single loan size in excess of $950 million, and annual loan production in excess of $4 billion.
Prior to joining Bank of China, Mr. Wang has had a unique blend of both institutional and more entrepreneurial, startup experience – starting his career with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund (MSREF), and then working with the Guggenheim and Burch families in launching the Guggenheim Club. Mr. Wang also spent time with Grubb & Ellis (now part of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank), involved in both Investment Sales, as well as Debt & Equity Placement, working with both domestic and foreign capital sources.
Mr. Wang has lived in 3 continents and traveled to 40+ countries. He’s fluent in Mandarin and is actively involved in the cross-border US-Asia commercial real estate community. Mr. Wang received a B.S. degree, cum laude, in Finance & Information Systems from the Stern School of Business of New York University, and a Master of Science from Columbia University’s MSRED Program, and actively participates in the Mentorship Program at Columbia.
