Katrina Sweezea

Chief Compliance Officer

Katrina Sweezea has over 10 years of operations and accounting experience. Ms. Sweezea joined ACORE Capital in October 2015 as the Controller in San Francisco, CA, where she focused on treasury, companywide process improvements and management company accounting. In December 2016, Ms. Sweezea transitioned to the Chief Compliance Officer at ACORE, focusing on the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the compliance program.

Prior to ACORE Capital, she was the Director of Treasury at Starwood Capital Group, responsible for the implementation and execution of treasury policies and procedures, focusing on improving security and accuracy of payments, while overseeing the day-to-day cash activity and reporting. Prior to her Director of Treasury role, Ms. Sweezea was the Operations Associate at Starwood Property Trust, Inc. (STWD), responsible for treasury, trade settlements, and accounting related to securities.

Prior to STWD, Ms. Sweezea spent four years at Paramax Capital Partners, where she was responsible for accounting, treasury, and investor reporting for funds totaling over $1 billion in assets under management.

Ms. Sweezea graduated from Southern Connecticut State University earning a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.
