Julie Chang joined ACORE Capital in 2015 and is a Vice President on the Credit & Underwriting team in San Francisco, CA where she assists in the diligence and closing of loans covering all product types in various markets.
Prior to ACORE Capital, she was an associate on the Credit & Underwriting team at Starwood Property Trust (NYSE: STWD) for 2 years and underwrote and closed over $2 billion in floating rate construction and bridge loans. Prior to her role on the credit & underwriting team, she was the assistant controller for STWD and responsible for all aspects of accounting, financial reporting (including SEC filings), and consolidation of various business lines totaling over $5 billion in assets. During her 2-year tenure on the accounting team, she also assisted with STWD’s $1 billion acquisition of LNR Partners LLC, the world’s largest commercial mortgage special servicer, in 2013.
Prior to STWD, Ms. Chang spent four years in Ernst & Young’s Real Estate assurance group in New York City and was responsible for overseeing the planning, budgeting and execution of audit engagements.
Ms. Chang graduated with honors from SUNY Binghamton’s School of Management earning a B.S. degree in accountancy.
