Reporting to: Director of Software Development

The Development Support Manager is responsible for the management of technical resources who support ACORE Capital’s business lines through application development and maintenance of Backshop, a commercial real estate origination platform. This position is accountable for executing day-to-day product development activities across design, development, and stakeholder communication in order to achieve departmental goals and initiatives, with a focus on outstanding customer service. This is a hands-on role that must be able to receive and interpret reported bugs, identify the root cause and fix the code, while staying in communication with users to provide status and clarify requirements as needed.
The Development Support Manager is a 100% remote position but must work in the PST time zone, and reports to the Director of Software Development in our Larkspur office.

• Manage and provide direction for the application team in support of business operations.
• Be a pro-active business partner and liaise with various functional users across multiple business units to understand their issues and requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement and IT solutions.
• Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
• Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.
• Maintain application databases and implement solutions to ensure business operational continuity.
• Evaluate, install, configure, and deploy new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.

• 3 years or more of residential or commercial real estate background
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to lead, train and develop a self directed workforce, including effective delegation skills and ability to manage assigned responsibilities
• Superior interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel
• Ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical/technical and problem solving/troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrated success implementing change/improvements
• Strong sense of personal accountability and a proven track record of achieving desired results
