Associate/AVP - Finance

Reporting to: Sr. Vice President

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Associate/AVP to oversee and manage various aspects of fund operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing fund service providers, ensuring adherence to agreements, and maintaining high-performance standards. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also contribute to special projects and handle internal ad-hoc requests as they arise. This role is based in our New York office and reports to the Senior Vice President.

• Responsible for day-to-day fund accounting that includes cash / position reconciliations, journal entries and preparation of trial balances and financial statements etc.
• Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP, including facilitating monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles.
• Conduct detailed analysis of fund performance, including variance analysis and returns calculation.
• Support treasury functions, manage expenses, and assist in the preparation of capital call and distribution notices along with investor allocations.
• Coordinate with external auditors for periodic audits and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Contribute to the creation of GAAP financial statements, footnote disclosures, performance estimates, and investor reporting for multiple entities.
• Compile data for regulatory compliance filings and participate in the fund audit process.
• Address Limited Partners’ inquiries relating to their investment in the funds.
• Assist in providing analysis and support requested by senior management.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting credit funds.
• Provide support to internal stakeholders, including Finance, Investment Team, Marketing and IR, and Tax departments.
• Work on a team of 3 other professionals, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, demonstrating strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred but not required.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience, with a comprehensive understanding of credit fund operations and GAAP.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
